Ayurveda and Yoga for Menopause

  • Temple Retreat 580A Grandview Road Pullenvale, QLD, 4069 Australia (map)

From an Ayurvedic perspective, Menopause is a very important and special time in a woman’s life – a time of transition that needs to be cherished and celebrated. It is not a condition or a disease that many women are lead to believe, it is a very important time where the woman has the opportunity to prioritise care for her health and well being in all aspects – physically, mentally, emotionally, sexually & spiritually. It is the age of ‘Life Experience’ that is to be enjoyed, signalling the end to youthful restrictions and welcoming the greater freedom that the next life brings.

The majority of women suffer terribly in this transition phase of life and beyond; however, this sort of suffering is totally preventable by following Ayurvedic dietary advices, protocols & specific yoga asanas & pranayama. Much can be done to help remedy the underlying causes of menopausal symptoms even when they are already present. Ayurveda teaches that prevention is always the best course of action, so getting things in shape pre-menopause is of course preferable.

So whether you’re currently experiencing menopausal symptoms or not, remembering prevention is the best way to go, this workshop will completely give you the knowledge and tools to embrace this beautiful transition in your life.
