Restorative yoga is a quiet, gentle practice commonly known as “active relaxation”.
It helps relieve the effects of chronic stress by calming the nervous system. It is a great practice for those who suffer from stress, anxiety, insomnia, and depression or for those who feel burnt out and overwhelmed.
The focus of the practice is on “letting go” rather than “doing”.
Poses are held for longer to allow for a deeper opening in the body.
You will leave this class feeling nourished, calm and refreshed. A great self care practice.
